Hey readers!

Black Swan, looking at the title made me thinks of a boring movie on ballet performances on Swan Lake. However, as this movie received critical acclaim, and the main cast,
Natalie Portman getting praises for her role, and the movie received nominations for best picture, best actress in Oscar, and so I decided to watch it, after listening to my friend's feedback on it. Everything is just good! So off I go!
I absolutely loved Black Swan. Black Swan adalah lakonan Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Vincent Cassel, Barbara Hershey and Winona Ryder. This movie are not what you might describe as being “feel good”, but they all are capable of evoking reactions in the audience. Nina (Natalie Portman) is a dedicated, hardworking dancer who’s caught the attention of her troupe’s European director, Thomas (Vincent Cassel).
He wants to kick off the next ballet season with a new “visionary” interpretation of Swan Lake in which both the lead role of the White Swan and her evil-sister counterpart, the Black Swan, will be danced by the same girl. It’s a plum-but-grueling role and a huge opportunity for the right dancer, and Nina really wants it.
Nina is a perfect fit to play the innocent White Swan but does not have the dark edge to pull off the role of the Black Swan. However newcomer ballerina Lily (Mila Kunis) is perfect for the role of the Black Swan. Once cast Nina begins to display several hallucinations, delusions and at times seeing visions of herself. A
ll the while she is having intense pressure onstage and she is too busy being “perfect”. Offstage her relationship with Lily takes some interesting turns that eventually leads to a very intriguing and intense climax.
This is very much Natalie Portman’s film. She owns the Sayers role and it is by far her best film to date. So in the middle, I am even blurred by which scenes are real, which are not. Finally, at the end, I understood the whole thing, and well, it ended beautifully, for me eventhough we do not know the fate of Nina who is injured.
The last phrase she said is immensely breathtaking; ‘I felt it. Perfect. I was perfect.’ before the screen goes black.
Basically this movie is about Nina who wanted to be the 'perfect' ballerina and the 'perfect' black swan role. And because of always want to be perfect she's obsessed and creating a lot of negative hallucinations and in the end kills herself. It is a film worth seeing or should I say a must watch, and one that is easily among the best of the year.
Congrats Natalie for the great performance!
