Demi Lovato-Give Your Heart A Break

Hey readers!

I'm loving the new single by Demi Lovato entitled Give Your Heart A Break. Try listen the song and understand the meaning of it. Have a great week ahead you guys! and oh yeah don't afraid to fall in love!

Demi Lovato-Give Your Heart A Break

The day I first met you
You told me you'd never fall in love
But now that I get you
I know fear is what it really was

Now here we are
So close yet so far
Haven't I passed the test
When will you realise
Baby, I'm not like the rest

Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrong
Like you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to waste, to waste
So let me give your heart a break, give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
Oh yeah, yeah

On Sunday you went home alone
There were tears in your eyes
I called your cell phone, my love
But you did not reply

The world is ours if we want it
We can take it if you just take my hand
There's no turning back now
Baby, try to understand

Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrong
Like you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to waste, to waste
So let me give your heart a break, give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break

There's just so much you can take
Give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
Oh yeah, yeah

When your lips are on my lips
And our hearts beat as one
But you slip out of my fingertips
Every time you run, whoa-oh-whoa-oh-oh

Don't wanna break your heart
Wanna give your heart a break
I know you're scared it's wrong

Like you might make a mistake
There's just one life to live
And there's no time to waste, to waste
So let me give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break

'Cause you've been hurt before
I can see it in your eyes
You try to smile it away, some things you can't disguise
Don't wanna break your heart
Maybe, I can ease the ache, the ache
So let me give your heart a break, give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break

There's just so much you can take
Give your heart a break
Let me give your heart a break, your heart a break
Oh babe
Oh yeah, yeah

The day I first met you
You told me you'd never fall in love

Underworld 4: Awakening Movie Review

Hey readers!

Underworld 4 looks and feels like an extended TV episode, rather than a big-budget feature film. The film is nothing more than a string of action sequences and cheap set-pieces, often shot at wide angles that reveal the elementary (and by now, routine) fight choreography. Cheap CGI effects make the blood spatter, superhuman feats and supernatural creatures look no better than something you might see on an episode of Supernatural or True Blood.

Underworld 4: Awakening adalah lakonan Kate Beckinsale, India Eisley, Michael Ealy, Stephen Rea and Theo James. The movie begins with a cheaply-staged and very rushed glimpse at the vampire/Lycan “purge” (which could’ve been a movie in itself) before we jump to Selene waking up, finding Eve, and… that’s about it. The film runs out of steam somewhere in the second act, and settles for a cheaply-staged and predictable third act battle that might impress a TV audience, but is painfully unworthy as a 3D theatrical spectacle.

The film also attempts to throw a “twist” into the third act, but not only is it obvious (as are all of the so-called “twists” in this film), it largely negates the premise that distinguishes Awakening from its predecessors (vampires and Lycans having a common enemy in humanity). There is almost no development of character or narrative (just a lot of fight sequences), no thematic arcs, and a lot of the plot contrivances are so pronounced and silly that it’s hard to take the movie seriously, even as an Underworld film. While some would say that the door is purposefully left wide open for another sequel, it feels more like this half-cooked story never bothers to explore or make good on the many plot threads it introduces.

Kate Beckinsale is still in her prime as a gorgeous action starlet, and there was a lot of room for her character to experience some real development across the course of the story. Unfortunately, Selene reacts to her new circumstances with such unflinching stoicism that it’s hard to become invested in anything that’s happening.

If you’re a fan of the first Underworld film, but thought the sequel (Evolution) and the prequel (Rise of the Lycans) were diminished efforts, you won’t find redemption in this fourth installment. However, if you’ve enjoyed all of the films for what they are, you’ll probably get a bit of enjoyment out of this one as well. If you’ve never been a fan of watching vampires and werewolves battling it out, but were perhaps curious about this particular film: don’t waste the time or money, because your curiosity will only be rewarded with disappointment.

I comment this movie (1) only.

War Horse Movie Review

Hey readers!

Maybe it was the epic, old-fashioned storytelling, or the touching bond depicted between man and animal. Whatever the reason, Steven Spielberg’s War Horse worked its way into my heart and I enjoyed it purely as a simple, fulfilling story. Thinking back on it, I smile because this is the type of film many people of various ages and backgrounds can enjoy together.

War Horse adalah lakonan Jeremy Irvine, Peter Mullan, Emily Watson, David Thewlis and Niels Arestrup. That tone is established in the movie’s earliest scenes, in which an irresponsible and impoverished farmer (played with an uncharacteristic heavy hand by Peter Mullan) purchases a horse he can ill afford at auction. His son (Jeremy Irvine) adopts the animal as his own, names it Joey, and vows to train it, against all odds, to plow their rock-laden land. He and the horse develop a real rapport. That makes it all the harder for him when Joey is conscripted by the British Army to serve his country when war breaks out in 1914. Joey endures more hardship than any horse ought to, but everyone who encounters him over the next four years is immediately impressed with his beauty and indomitable spirit.

Because the material itself is absorbing, and inherently emotional, and because it’s a handsome production, War Horse is a very watchable. Good actors like Emily Watson, Niels Arestrup, David Thewlis, Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch, fill the cast. But for the most part, they are called upon to approach their parts in the most transparent way possible. Nothing is left for us to discover on our own.

This movie is a tear-jerker for everyone. It is a story about hope and triumph over adversity. It is a story about a love that endures over the worst of circumstances. This movie is a family film classic that must be seen during the holiday vacation. Only one word of caution, take a box of Kleenex along, family size preferred, because War Horse will melt your heart.

I comment this movie (3) ★★only.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island Movie Review

Hey readers!

I'm back with movie reviews. Ok please don't blame me why it took me so long to write movie reviews, please blame my laziness. I don't feel inspired and don't get any reason why I should spend my quality time on writing reviews instead I just can sleep (yeah, that's the bad thing in working life! sigh!) But suddenly I feel excited and happy to write again! If there’s a lesson to be learned from Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, it’s that Dwayne Johnson can make any movie watchable… even Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. And that’s no small feat. The special effects-laden sequel to 2008’s Journey to the Center of the Earth is a pretty awful film that uses imaginative set pieces to obscure the fact that it has no story whatsoever. There’s an island, alright. It’s pretty mysterious.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island adalah lakonan Josh Hutcherson, Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine and Vanessa Hudgens. In this sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D, we catch up with young Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson), now a bit older and getting into all kinds of mischief. Sean’s mom (Kristin Davis) and step-dad Hank (Dwayne Johnson) try to pry the reason for his bad behavior out of the recalcitrant teen, and Hank finally manages to get the answer: Sean is trying to piece together the mystery of his missing grandfather, Alexander Anderson (Michael Caine), who went searching for a mysterious island of legend.
Working together, Sean and Hank decode a message from Alexander based on the famous adventure tales of Jules Verne, Robert Lewis Stevenson and Jonathan Swift. Sean immediately sets his sights on the island of Palau, the next step to locating his grandfather, and Hank trying to bond with the boy and/or exhaust his curiosity decides to chaperone the journey.
In Palau, Hank and Sean meet Helicopter tour guide Gabato (Luis Guzmán) and his daughter Kailani (Vanessa Hudgens) – who is pretty enough to make Sean risk a flight on her rusted copter into the eye of a hurricane that just so happens to hide the entrance to the mysterious island. Once they are (crash-)landed on the island, the party sets out to find Alexander – and then, find passage off of the mystical land mass before it sinks back into the sea, taking them with it.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island is one of those “good for what it is” films – and what it is, is a light-hearted, family-friendly adventure film in the vein of Honey I Shrunk the Kids (only not that good). The film is filled with cheesy dialogue and jokes, one-dimensional characters and an overdone plot that offers just a few notes of genuine heart or drama but none of that really matters in this context. Kids will have fun with the material, and the adults accompanying them will be reasonably entertained as well.
Of course, all the silliness would be too much if not for the cast of actors who manage to ground it, and Dwayne Johnson and Michael Caine are two of the main reasons why this film works as effectively as it does. Both are great leading men in their own right, and the contentious relationship between Hank and Alexander (as Sean’s competing paternal figures) creates some great banter, which are probably the movie’s best moments.Hudgens doesn’t offer much except her pretty face (not that she’s required to).
On the whole, Journey 2 is just a fun ride from beginning to end. It’s not a piece of classic cinema by any means, but between some great set pieces, a healthy mix of non-threatening action, (chessy) kid-friendly comedy, and some likable leading performers, you can easily set this Journey above the one that proceeded it.
I comment this movie (2) ★★only.
