Post Grad Movie Review

Last two weeks was a 'Alexis Bledel week' for me. I watched two of her movies back to back. Both of her movie was a light and chill movie. It's good when you need a rest and at the same time watch a light and nice movie. Not to say a meaningful movie but slightly enjoyable. Get it? Post Grad was a last year movie but I managed to watch it last two weeks. Don't blame me, blame the Malaysia's cinemas. Their fault for not screening this movie. Overall, the story is too predictable (especially if you have seen the trailer). Seriously I have to say that straight forward.

Post Grad adalah lakonan Alexis Bledel, Michael Keaton, Rodrigo Santoro, Jane Lynch, Carol Burnett and Zach Gilford. For all of those who loved Alexis Bledel in "Gilmore Girls" or "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants," who've been waiting for her to come into her own, we're sorry to say that you might as well move along. There's nothing to see here. I have to admit that Carol Burnett as Alexis Bledel's grandmother makes this movie bearable. Her comedic timing is classic. Especially when the scene Alexis Bledel caught having sex with their hot neighbour. He slipped out the word "Fuck me!" and she shouted "Yeah, I would but they will be mad at me!" Seriously I was laughing like hell! This movie is about after graduating from college, Alexis Bledel as Ryden has a plans to work at Los Angeles’ most prestigious publishing company and move downtown fall flat. But she fails and forcing her to move back in with her amily. While Ryden attempts to find a job, she’s faced with figuring out what she really wants in life including confusing between best friend or boyfriend. That always happens to a straight boy and girl friendship.


The story started with Bledel's cutesy 'blog' intro, where she puts all her plans and mission in that unknown blog. I don't know what software she use to create that so call diary. But it's fun and cute. Then she have an important interview at one of her dream publishing company in Los Angeles. At the same time, she was confident that she will get the job and she plan to buy a luxurious apartment without thinking the consequences. Unfortunately, she didn't get the job and that makes her disappointed. She move back with her crazy family and mean while try to adapt the craziness of everyone. Her best friend played by Zach Gilford as Adam are the one who keep pamper and listen to all her problems. or should I say the one who concern about her. But she take that as a best friend's matters. One evening, her crazy father knock down their neighbour's cat and it's dead. Suddenly, Alexis Bledel having an affair with him unexpectedly. He helps her finding a part time job and advising her about life and everything.

The conflict between Alexis Bledel and Adam occurred when she didn't come to watch his opening show but she went out with the hot Brazilian neighbour. So they fights and didn't talk with each other for quite some time. Finally, Alexis Bledel realize that Adam who is the one she should be with. Many ways she try to pujuk him and finally for sure they will be together and she got the offers from her dream job in publishing company. If you've been hoping one day to find a movie that contains every single movie cliché known to man in one place, then Post Grad is that movie.

The Good Guy Movie Review

Last two weeks was a boring week for me. When I got nothing to do I like to surf anything in YouTube like example movie trailers. When I tengah syok surf YouTube I saw this cool movie trailer entitled The Good Guy. Guess what? It really attracted me and makes me want to search up the movie. and yes the movie are not release in Malaysia. I was disappointed until I bought the DVD. Now I have this strange behavior, which is I like to waste my money on pirated DVD. Well, what to do? I need something to watch when I'm super boring. Ok, The Good Guy was awesome and you will be questioning yourself all the time. That was something kind of a good way to working your own brain! The film is interested in that slice of the city that is young, affluent but not yet rich, a world in which the more serious and the shallow are still figuring each other out.

The Good Guy adalah lakonan Alexis Bledel, Scott Porter, and Bryan Greenberg. I always adore Alexis Bledel since The Gilmore Girls. She's cute and such a lovely actress. This former Gilmore Girl has matured since being the daughter to her TV show co-star Lauren Graham. But lakonan still biasa and almost the same role in The Gilmore Girls. Very innocent! This is my first time I realized that Scott Porter is existed in acting world. Haha. Bryan Greenberg simply the cutest. I still remember that I love his character in 'Prime' movie along with cougar Uma Thurman. One thing I love about this movie are because of the locations. This movie was shot on location in New York City, with an apartment that overlooks Wall Street. This movie is about an ambitious young Manhattanite, Beth played by Alexis Bledel who falls hard for two guys with different characters.Beth soon learns that the game of love in the big city is a lot like Wall Street which is high risk and high reward. It started with the journey of 'fake love' Beth and Tommy played by Scott Porter. At first, I see their relationship between them seems perfect and such a young lover!


Tommy is an all star at his Wall Street financial firm. Tommy is an ego, cocky and selfish man. He's full of tricks also. When the trader on his team makes a swift exit for a bigger paycheck, Tommy insists that newcomer Daniel played by Bryan Greenberg is the man for the job. Daniel is smart, but lacks the aggression and terlalu pemalu. In other words, he’s a bit of an innocent man. Because of that Tommy ajar everything to be 'The Man' just to fulfill his employee he needs him to be. But that's just not who is Tommy. Meanwhile, Beth is growing frustrated with his long hours and accidentally met Daniel at book store. Daniel try to approach her but failed. Unexpected they meet again at Tommy's company party. Tommy introduces Beth to Daniel at a company party, they bond through their love of reading and she invites him to join her book club. He looks this as an opportunity to knowing new single ladies but in fact the two share an unspoken attraction to one another. Since that they like to catch up with each other. First I thought, Beth is the asshole because it seems like she always be the first move to flirt with Daniel. Like she's the one who keep on calling Daniel and offers to hang out and stuff.

Then one night, when Beth went out for a girl's night and she saw Tommy's ex girlfriend at the club. They confront and finally found out the truth. Both of them confess that they're still together with Tommy as a couple. The truth is Tommy is a totally asshole player and pasang ramai perempuan. (Well, that's is totally the true!) and everything is revealed. Beth was upset and couldn't find any person to share her sadness. Lastly, she went to Daniel's apartment and find out that Daniel is actually know that Tommy are having affair with other woman. She was upset with that too. In just one night, everything is officially end. Tommy had a trouble with his lost wallet and a prostitute. When Beth knows everything, he kick Tommy's ass out from the house. The truth was Tommy always went to his ex-girlfriend's house all this while and just using Beth for his own good. Finally, Beth are together with Daniel. Bledel, best known for her bookish goodness in "The Gilmore Girls," is never asked to step outside of that comfort zone, which leaves the love story in need of some edge and the rest of us wondering if she'll ever be able to step into more grown-up roles. In my point of view, this movie is less for men than it is women, this modern romance is for ladies much like Bledel’s character for those who dream about a guy who reads “Pride and Prejudice” while maintaining the build of a GQ model.

Thanks to Mona for letting me know this new awesome TV series called 'Pretty Little Liars'. I just love the cast especially Aria and the cute father of Aria! This series is very different from others it's about misery of missing/death Queen Bee 'Allison'. But this four BFF still have the feeling of 'Allison' is still alive and keep on hunting them and many other secrets coming out. Seriously cool.

Finally my semester is over! Yesterday I submitted my re-do assignments 2 Newspaper layout design. I was shocked with the result so I went to see the lecturer and he asked me to re-do! Btw, million thanks to my lovable Muzzamin and Joyce for helping me with all the re-do progress!

Now I am going to have time for myself! This weekend is going to be movie madness. I have 5 movies to watch and The Hills season 5 marathon! Woohoo!

Toy Story 3 Movie Review

It has been 11 years since the sequel of Toy Story released. and this year they make a history of making comeback for the third part. I grew up with Toy Story film. I really love the movie because that time I was crazy of toys. I have a lot of toy collection. Still remember when my mother got back from Disneyland and she bought me a Buzz Lightyear toy figure. It was super cool. It can make sound "Hi! I am Buzz Lightyear and I am..."once u press the button. How cool was that? Last week I watched Toy Story 3. What I enjoy about this movie is the creativity. The director features toys that kids likes to play without influencing the modern/technology toys like computer games or Play Station. Like teddy bear or small toys. So it's kinda fun to watch their personal character. We all have toys that we have outgrown despite the memories we had hugging them in our sleep and racing around the house with them in our hands as we imagined over-the-top scenarios. Toy Story 3 was fun and was worth seeing and surprisingly sad!

Toy Story are voiced by Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, John Ratzenberger, Joan Cusack, Wallace Shawn, Ned Beatty, Michael Keaton, Timothy Dalton and Whoopi Goldberg. And this time, it’s Woody and Buzz Lightyear who face the dust-gathering tragedy as their owner Andy, now 17, packs his belongings for college and is forced to decide what he’s bringing, donating, putting in the attic, or throwing out in the trash. Andy decides untuk ambil Woody along with him to the college and packs the other toys in a garbage bag and nak simpan them in the attic. Unfortunately, Andy's mom mistakenly puts the bag outside the house and they almost picked up by a garbage truck. They really thought that all of them akan kena buang except Woody so they quickly ran and stay inside a box to be donated to Sunnyside Daycare. Woody tries to clear up the misunderstanding, but the other toys refuse to believe him and they are all driven to Sunnyside. All of the toys are welcome from the toys at Sunnyside, led by Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear who assigns them to the "Caterpillar Room." They met Ken and Big Baby. Woody tries to convince the others to return to Andy, but they decide they are happier at Sunnyside, so he leaves without them.


The next day, they realize that baby who is in the "Caterpillar Room" is ganas, nakal and still a small kids. They like to abuse and torture the innocent toys. Can you imagine how budak nakal treat the toys? They like to cabut cabut the toy's parts or throw it away. They refer to Lots-O'-Huggin' bear to place them to other room. But the mean leader don't accept their request. As Woody escapes Sunnyside, Woody is found by a girl named Bonnie and takes him home, where he meets Bonnie's other toys. Woody learns from Chuckles that Sunnyside is a toy prison run with an iron fist by that giant bear! Chuckeles the clown flashback the real story of the bear. He was dumped by their owner also with Big Baby. The other toys in Sunnyside try to leave but are imprisoned by the bear. Woody returns to Sunnyside during the day to help his friends break out. They carefully plot an escape via the garbage chute. But they were caught by the bear and the rest.

Woody, knowing the real story of the bear's past, so Big Baby throws the bear in the dumpster and pulls Woody into the dumpster. All of them were brought to tempat pembuangan sampah. Lastly, they were saved by the Aliens. Berguna jugak Aliens ni. Haha. In the end, Woody leaves his box and scribbles a note on the box. The note tells Andy to donate the toys to someone.Andy gave the toys to Bonnie. Andy plays one last time with the toys and explaining their history (This was the sad part!). The toys are shown to be happy in the care of Bonnie. Toy Story 3 is a kids movie that's great for adults too, a fantastic finale to the Toy Story series, and one of the best of its genre to come around in years.

Dear John Movie Review

I watched one of the greatest love story, Dear John. I don't know why Dear John are not screening in Malaysia, but what I know all the young adults nowadays have been chattering around about this great love story. How would I know that the scenario happens? Lots of my friends that I know keep on asking me weather I have the DVD or asking me have I watch it? How was it? I answer them directly that I haven't watch it until last week. Personally, I adore Amanda Seyfried's movies and style and of course her boyfriend, Dominic Cooper. I have to admit that Amanda Seyfriend can act really well and she portrayed as Savannah in Dear John perfectly. Before that, I have to thank Roslidah for giving me the soft copy of Dear John to me. So that, I don't need to waste my money to buy the pirated DVD. Haha. Overall the movie was well done and the themes to me where still there, Tatum and Seyfried's acting, and how it was filmed.

Dear John adalah lakonan Channing Tatum, Amanda Seyfried, Richard Jenkins, Henry Thomas and Scott Porter. In my point of view, Channing Tatum perfectly portrays as a young man who is mature and he know what he wants. Amanda Seyfried is really down to earth kind of girl with a kind hearted girl. I think Amanda and Channing had great chemistry, and you can feel their off-screen friendship come through onto the big screen. This movie is about a romantic tale with the two pretty people who fall in love, something beyond their control will keep them apart, and some dramatic, weepy decision about their relationship that will change their lives forever. Channing Tatum as John who is a young Sergeant from the Army Special Forces. While he is on leave he met Savannah played by Amanda Seyfried, a college student on spring break. They met at the beach where John rescue Savannah's purse drowning under the water. In a matter of days, Savannah and John fall in love.


They spend two weeks getting to know each other,went out for a date, hanging out with Savannah's neighbor, Tim (a single dad with a young 'retarded' son) played by Henry Thomas, and John's dad,which was the Asperger Syndrome's patient. I don't really know what is the sick looks like but from what I've seen he doesn't like to be in public. He will feel scared and wants to be alone. John's father have an expensive interest which is coin collector. Savannah meets and befriends John's father. They shares the coin collection interest and tells about her father. The next day, Savannah and John fights when Savannah said that John's father is some kind of retarded. After that, John fought with Savannah's friend, Randy played by Scott Porter. During the fights, John accidentally punching Tim in the process. After apologizing, they spent the night together before John was sent to another mission.

They contacted each other with sending letters. Oh! So vintage and classy! Still remember when the e-mail or text messages are not the main medium of communication. Through the letters they learn more about each other (and so does the audience). They struggling update each other with wrote letters until for about 2 years apart. Finally, Savannah, sad but resigned, sends John a Dear John letter, informing him that she has become engaged to someone else. I was surprised and shocked with Savannah's decision. For the next four years, John, trying to mend his broken heart over Savannah, takes part in many missions with his new unit, in Iraq to the current resurgent conflicts in Afghanistan. Then John was sent home because his father is dying. John spends the last few days of his father's life by his side and writes him a letter. What a sad father-son's sad moment (I missed my arwah abah). While reading the letter, the flashback of how John's father get into coin collection. It's because of when John was a kid he found a mule coin.

Later, John discovers that Savannah married Tim, not Randy. Savannah tells him Tim has cancer and she need to take care of Tim's son. But they have financial problem to buy the medication. John decided to sell his memorable mule coin and donates the money from the sale to finance Tim's drug. Unfortunately, Tim died. Lastly, John decides to leave the Army and they met again. The ending I didn't mind at all because it was in fact open ended, and it's up to the viewer to decide what happens next. In my point of view, I really liked watching Tatum tackle the emotional scenes, he definitely impressed me. Dear Jon was a great movie. It was romantic and had some action in it.

Special:Sex and The City 2 Movie Review

This is a special movie review for my own the most long waited movie of year 2010. It is Sex and The City 2. Do you know how bad it was that I have to wait for this movie to be release in Malaysia like forever? and few arguments occurred during I wanted to watch it with bunch of friends, and ended I watched it with Ass and Hanisa. Due to too many crap things I need to face I am so out of the conversations. Let's move to my point which is to review one of the greatest and anticipated movie of this year, Sex and The City 2. If we flashback in year 2008, Sex and The City was my movie of the year. I really love it. From the storyline, fashion sense, grown up qualities and the dialogue makes me watch it million times. What I like the most of the sequel was the eye-candy and the Carrie Bradshaw and Mr.Big's style of relationship. That kind of relationship is what I'm looking for. Totally. The fashion was totally great. But this time, the movie are focus a lot on gay issues such as gay marriage. I remind you guys, for those who love fashion and all about friendship this is your bible. There are times when the cameras linger on the wardrobe and accessories rather than on the actors. That is what Sex and The City is all about. To make it short this movie is created just for gays and women. Overall the movie was simply entertaining and makes the married couple think about their future. This time they focus on what is going to happens when you get married? All the questions related to that been answered.

Sex and The City 2 adalah lakonan Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Chris Noth, John Corbett, Max Ryan, Jason Lewis and cameos from Miley Cyrus, Noah Mills, Penelope Cruz and Liza Minneli. Sarah Jessica Parker played Carrie Bradshaw as the successful writer and the fashionista. What she wears and what she do makes all the women in the world want to be like her. Personally, I adore Carrie Bradshaw's lifestyle and her success in her career and also finding the right guy. That is an almost perfect in creating a happy life. I love and enjoy Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones in the movie. She is extremely funny and a true bitch! This time she shows her comedy side and makes me laugh everytime she does it. Chris Noth as Mr.Big is my favourite character in the movie. He's the perfect gentleman. 100% my type. Kristin Davis as Charlotte and Cyhthia Nixon as Miranda's role are not been focus that much compare to the previous movie. OMG! Max Ryan as Dr. Rikard Spirt is totally hot and cute. I love him! Gosh! Super cute. This movie is about what happens when you get married and few relationship issues.


The movie started with a great opening. The film opens by re-introducing us to the Sex and the City foursome two years after the end of their previous movie with a before and after style in 1986 in New York City.Wow! The 80's style really blew me off! At first they are preparing to go their best gay friend's wedding, Stanford and Anthony. The interior of the wedding ceremony was great and brilliant. After they were officially married, Liza Minnelli appears in a cameo to officiate the wedding vows and she sings Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". 'Single Ladies' is the national anthem for gays. I have to say that Miranda's outfit during the ceremony is super beautiful. I love it. Next, they discussed their stressful life than before. All are married except for Samantha, who is now 52 and trying to keep her hormones alive while dealing with menopause. While Miranda quits her job because of she felt that her boss doesn't appreciate her and she wants to spend time with her family. Charlotte's two children are a handful and is worried that Harry is attracted to their nanny. Her bra-less nanny. The issues between Carrie and Mr.Big getting serious because Carrie is too fussy and 'mengada-ngada'. She portrayed the immature wife in her marriage with Mr.Big. She always complain everything Mr.Big did. Is it because she need attention from her husband in a way to sparkle her marriage?

Mr.Big has settled down, though they differ on how to spend their spare time and Carrie's always wants to go out, he would prefer to stay home and watch television. The most anticipated time, when four of them went to Abu Dhabi. Their trip was super luxurious and semuanya first class. In Abu Dhabi they portrayed how conservative the country is. They have to cover up their body and can't do sexual thing in public. Meanwhile, when out shopping with Miranda, Carrie runs into her former lover, Aidan. Saja nak buat cerita lah kan. They met and had a dinner date.

In a moment of passion, the two kiss. Carrie deals with the question of whether or not to tell Big and she choose to be honest by telling Big the truth. At the same time, Samantha met the gorgeous Australia's man, Dr. Rikard Spirt. They were caught by the Arab police because of inappropriate behavior in public. Then the worst disaster begins. The PR meeting is cancelled, and their luxurious perks are no longer paid for. They were kick out from the hotel and they have to pay by their own starting from that day which is cost $22,000 per night! They have to check out in hour and the funny part was, when Charlotte complains to Samantha that she can't pack all her stuff in one hour and Samantha shouted "Then you better have fucking $22,ooo!!". I was laughing like insane.


Suddenly, Carrie's passport is lost and they have to search for it. Meanwhile, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda run up against a culture clash in the Middle East, as their style and attitudes contrast with Muslim society but none more than Samantha. When the black market people mistaken Samantha's Birkin Bag and destroys it all the stuff in the bag came out. The condoms are fall on the ground and everyone saw it. She was extremely mad and hot that time she shouted to all the people who insulting her "Yes! I had sex and fuck me!" Seriously funny like hell! After a few more mishaps they leave Abu Dhabi and arrive home safe in the New York City, where Carrie sits alone, miserable in the apartment, Big nowhere to be seen. Lastly, Big return and presents her with the punishment he intended for her a diamond ring, to always remind her she is married. Kenapa macam punishment macam terlalu menarik? Carrie doesn't like diamond ring and she loves a simple ring. So the black diamond ring will make her always see the ring and remind her.

In the end, Miranda continue her lawyer career in a new firm and Charlotte patiently taking care of her two daughters and luckily her nanny is a lesbian. Samantha stays exactly the same as a sex maniac. In my point of view, each of the girls is given a story which makes them identifiable to the audience. But much like some of the fashion in the film, it's more about style than substance. But I have to agree to some people who critics Sex and The City are much more fun than the sequel. Whatever it is, Sex and The City 2 is a must watch movie this year and I guarantee you guys it's a worth movie to watch!

I don't know that this movie is based on famous TV series few years back. If I'm not mistaken that was back in year 80s. What I know is the cute Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper was the main actor of the movie. But I have to straight tell you guys that this a typical action and team work and each every people have their own specialty kinda of movie. This is just like another movie 'The Losers' and it's like almost the same. Last few weeks (YES! I watch movie every week and it's like a part of my life. Puas?), Ass and I watched The A-Team at Suria KLCC. Before watching it, I have set my mind that this is going to be just a typical action movie and because of Liam Neeson and Bradley Cooper's shirtless scene makes me excited to watch it. Haha. Sorry for too obvious being to that kind of interest. Overall the movie was just ok and leave your brain at home, buy some popcorn and enjoy the ride! You get it?

The A-Team adalah lakonan Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Rampage Jackson, Sharlto Copley, Jessica Biel, Brian Bloom and Patrick Wilson. First of all, I get attracted with Liam Neeson since the porn-lesbo movie, 'Chloe'. He's a gorgeous mature man. There was a time where I crazy of Bradley Cooper. Oh yeah! When he was in the movie 'Failure To Launch'. Lakonan Jessica Biel macamana? Budget tegas and biasa! This movie is about Alpha Team, affectionately known as The A-Team is made up of an elite group of U.S. Special Forces soldiers who are wrapping up their tour of duty in Iraq. The four of them was imprisoned for a crime they did not commit. They escape and set out to clear their name. One thing I was wondering in the theater why the opening and introduction of each member too long? It's like almost 15 minutes each person. Yes, I already know that each of you have your own specialties and you guys are the most successful team and confirm tak akan kalah! After almost 35 minutes overall of the introduction, the film then moves forward eight years and eighty successful missions later, where the team is now a highly-regarded, elite combat unit is stationed in Iraq.


Liam Neeson as Colonel Hannibal is contacted by CIA Agent played by Patrick Wilson. Once the CIA Agent appeared I already know he's the bad person. He reveals that Iraqi insurgents are in possession of U.S. treasury plates being used to manufacture counterfeit currency. He said he needs the the plates and over 1 billion dollars in counterfeit cash that's due to be moved out of Baghdad. Then, Jessica Biel as Captain Charissa came and warned her ex-lover and other team member to stay away from the plates and out of Baghdad. But they refuse to listen to her and starts the mission. The mission is successful, but when the team returns to base to meet their commanding officer, both the shipping container carrying the money and their lead, Morrison are destroyed by men from the private security firm Black Forest. All of them thought the team killed their lead and they have no prove. The team is arrested and sentenced to ten years in federal prison. Then of course the team won't stay long in the prison and all of them escapes prison with the a deal with Pike played by Brian Bloom. Then they track Pike, in the company of the mystery Arab, they manage to reclaim the plates and kidnap the Arab at the same time.

The team is shocked to learn that the Arab is actually General Morrison, who worked with them and and fake his own death. Then the final mission are getting to launch and the master mind was Bradley Cooper. Bermacam macam things happened and finally they manage to destroy Pike's mission. Expected. In the end, I’m not going to sit here and say don’t go see The A-Team. I will just warn you to proceed with caution. It’s a fairly decent movie but it’s not nearly as good as I was hoping it would be. If you’re okay with seeing just an “okay” movie, then The A-Team is the movie for you.

I am so happy! My favourite Indonesian band is back! I still remember their hit song, 'Cinta Sendiri' when I was 17 years old. That songs reminds me of a lot of happy and sad memories. Well, that is long time ago. Now they are back with new album and featuring new single which is I'm madly in love with most of their songs in 'Lebih Dari Sekadar Cantik' album.

Actually, my sister in Jakarta bought me the album. Thanks to her! Anyway, 'Untukku', 'Lebih Dari Sekadar Cantik', 'Cemburu Buta' and 'Pacarku' are my non-stop songs at the moment. You guys should give a try to hear their songs. They have their own style in music. Which is kinda interesting for me! I love Kahitna!
