Hey readers!

Chick-action-flick, Sucker Punch hits theaters with a bang. Well at least for me. It tells how a girl, whose name is Babydoll, ended up in an insane asylum in Vermont in the early ‘60s. Snyder uses strong visual skills to tell how
Babydoll (Emily Browning) was accused, after the death of her mother, of the murder of her awful stepfather. She was also framed after the stepfather murdered her sister. This left her on the path to a lobotomy at a creep Lennox House for the Criminally Insane.
Sucker Punch adalah lakonan Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Oscar Isaac, Jon Hamm. This is a dark, imaginative film that journey’s into the mind a young girl who needs to escape. The things I like about this movie are the sexiness of each characters and soundtrack. The soundtrack is awesome and playing sexily with the actions. Babydoll soon makes friends with two sisters,
Sweet Pea and Rocket, played by Abbie Cornish and Jena Malone, respectively. She also befriends some tough girls, Blondie and Amber, played by Vanessa Hudgens and Jamie Chung. From the flawless skin on all the girls, to the costumes, to the sets and the special effects; this film has a very distinctive look and it’s impressive.
When the film hit the screen it immediately sent a wave over the audience and I couldn’t help but think “this is going to be awesome!” The start of this film, the idea, the premise, how it sets himself up is beautiful, dark, interesting — this is one of the best starts to a film.
To escape this harsh reality, Baby Doll constructs a complex alternative where she is brought into a bordello by a priest, to await the pleasures of the High Roller, who arrives in a few days. She is to be trained to dance the exotic dances that are the staple of the establishment, and she begins to work with the other girls around her to escape their collective prison.
When Baby Doll dances, her audience is left mesmerised, while she imagines a deeper video-game inspired reality where she is a warrior fighting supernatural odds; That’s where the guns, explosions and combat gear come in.
The soundtrack of Sucker Punch also caught my attention. The selection of modern, rhythm-heavy music juxtaposed with the vaguely vintage aesthetic of the movie, and the fantasy action sequences, makes for a rousing combination.
I enjoyed Sucker Punch because it is smart, gripping, sticks to its internal logic, and is shamelessly entertaining. In addition to being a solid piece of film making,
Sucker Punch works because it makes films sexy again.
I comment this movie
