Hey readers!
It’s not very often that the third installment in a movie franchise is better than it’s prequels. After the called Rise of the Fallen many people did not have high expectations of this new release including myself.
Transformers 3 was a well thought out Transformers story from both the human and robot sides of the movie. It felt like the franchise had matured to this point in time. Points in the movie were pulled from the history of the franchise and expounded upon.
Transformers 3: Dark of The Moon adalah lakonan Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel,Tyrese Gibson and Patrick Dempsey. Transformers movies will not be the same without Megan Foxx. Oh! I missed her. Rosie Huntington took over the role as the new girlfriend (Carly Spencer). She is the eye candy for the fellas but that is about it.
During the fighting scenes Huntington always seems to emerge like she was about to hit a Victoria Secret runway, instead of coming out of a dangerous situation distraught. The story line was cheesy; Sam (Shia LaBeouff) appeared to be kitty whoop throughout the entire movie.
The story of the movie ditches most everything from the Revenge of the Fallen and instead focuses on the history of the Autobot/Decepticon war.The third and final film began with a flashback to a Cybertronian spacecraft, known as the Ark, crashing on the Moon.
The launch of Apolo 11, not just a race to the moon, but on a secret government mission to retrieve information. On the Ark, countless Autobot bodies lie, deactivated, and the revelation that the Autobot Elder, and the previous owner of the Autobot Matrix of Leadership, Sentinel Prime awaits his rescue. The first shock of the film comes with the appearance of living legend and national hero, Buzz Aldren. It is learned that humans have been working with Decepticons for decades. A betrayal occurs, and an Autobot hero dies. The situation becomes severe, and Optimus Prime truly rises in this darkest hour.
Familiar Decepticons Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream, and even Barricade plot their plans to enslave Earth, with new faces Shockwave and Laserbeak bringing a new, terrifying presence to the Decepticon regime. The Decepticon plan, is to bring Cybertron into the orbit of the Earth and use humans as slaves to help rebuild.
(You guys must be wondering how I can remember all Autobot names. I google them! Yay.)
Never has so much action been so boring. And I believe I know why: I didn't care for any of these characters, because I didn't really get to know them.
These characters literally get less character development than the random background actors. Instead of development, we get goofy antics of various characters, which fails to cop much laughter from me.
The story very much present, the resolutions were concretely resolved, and Michael Bay delivered what he promised, one hell of an all-out-war with lots and lots of death, destruction, and explosions.
If you just want some entertainment and could care less about story line, and dialogue then check it out. If not, I suggest you skip this all together, and go see X-Men: First Class which is the full package of an action flick with a hell of a story line.
I really wanted to like this film, alas we are sadly handed an action fest of vapid proportions. Tragic. But really, like you've never seen it before. Hopefully whatever Michael Bay does next will be something...exceptional.
I comment this movie
(3) ★★★only.
